Sukhmani Sahib was originally written by Guru Arjan Devji (5th Sikh Guru) around 16th century. Sukhmani Sahib consists of 24 Ashtpadis. Each Ashtpadi is consisting of 8 hymns. Thats why these are called Ashtpadis. Sukhmani Sahib is very popular with Sikhs. These hymns are believed to be the secret treasure for peace and prosperity.
