Meeting at Sindhunagar 8 March 2017

Meeting held on 8th March 2017 with Trustees & Principals of Sindhi Managaed Schools in Sindhunagar to start teaching Sindhi to students from nursery to prepare a generation that will be able to read & write in Sindhi script in near future. Our complete literature is in SINDHI script. We have to teach 'Sindhi Script' to our children so that in 10 year's time we shall have one generation who can read write in Sindhi. They will read the books, complete literature which will make them proud. We are not against Romanisation or Devnagri script. Our language is Sindhi and we have get new writers and poets who can create new literature in Sindhi. Today most of the senier writers write in Sindhi Script and get it published both scripts. When children take SINDHI as a second subject in Schools, they learn from 5th Standard. In 10th std they really learn Sindhi of 6th Std and Students have to take subject in 11th Std Sindhi. They find it difficult. We suggest that Sindhi Managed Schools must start teaching SINDHI from Nursery and writing reading from 1st Std. In this connection the meeting was organised in Sindhu Youth Circle in Sindhunagar. Many heads of the Schools attended and have agreed to proceed on these lines. Shri Hiranand, Mahinder Mulchandani, Ramesh Tunia, Prakash Gurnani,P. S. Ahuja from NCT school, Aruna Bedi from RGS School.Manohar Goplani from SES,Mahesh Gurdasani,Kishore Pishori. Other Sindhyat Ja Shedai were Prem Tolani,Devidas Bharwani, Bachram, Dunichand Kukreja, Ramesh Lal Dayaramani, Neetu Panjwani, Sunder Dangwani, Anil Sadarangani and others. All the schools have assured of their support. Jointly we can move mountains. This is question of our identity.
