Prabhu Wafa Documentary - عظيم شاعر پرڀو وفا
Prabhu Jotumal Chhugani 'wafa' was a great poet of Sindhi. His poetry has made him immortal. He was born on 19th Sep 1915 in Larkana, Sindh. His poetry is sung by almost all the leading Sindhi Singers. I was in regular contact with him. My mother Sundri Uttamchandani always showed her poems to him and seeked his advise.Prabhu 'wafa' wrote 8 books and received many awards for his great work. He received Sahitya Akademi Award in 1981 on his book 'Surkh gulab Surha Khuwab' سُرُخ گلاب ، سُرها خواب Sindhis should feel proud of such a poet whoes creations have been sung by almost all the singers. Dada Ram Panjwani was always singing 'Kashat Kashala Katba Wenda hiku thi Hiku Hiku thi...' ڪشٽ ڪشالا ڪٽبا ويندا هڪ هڪ ٿي هڪ هڪ ٿي.... This documentary starts with his beautiful poem sang by Kajal Chandiramani. This tune was composed by Rati Chuggani brother of Shri Prabhu wafa. Kajal has song especially for this work of ours. his books are : Jhankaar 1958, Parwaaz 1962, surkh Gulab Surha Khwab 1980, Maan Azal Ji Unch Ahiyan [title song] 1990, Toon Sagar Maan Lehar 1993, Aeena ain Akas 1994, Siju Lahan Te aa, Paigam 1983. Sindhi Sangat has produced this documentary with financial assistance from NCPSL. Dr. Moti Prakash did the scripting and Asha Chand did direction.Shri Mohan Gehani was all over with us.

We would like to invite all parents to join us in our parent teacher meeting on ZOOM on 9th January, 2022, to assess and to have your suggestions and your experiences about your child attending the class. Even though some children were not able to attend, can join our new online classes again. We have started a new batch from 02.01.2022. Those children who have not really attended classes properly, also can join that batch. The next class is to be on 8.1.22. The classes will be conducted twice a week on Saturday and Sunday at 5 PM. Prof. Kumari Popati Hiranandani was born on 17th Sep 1924. She wrote many books. This one book which sindhis must read is 'Sindhis, the scattered treasure'. We have given first chapter for you all to read. Introduction to this book is written by Dada Ram Jethmalani. Mohan Gehani in his Monograph on Popati Hiranandani has written: Dadi Popati Hirananadani's [1924-2005] literary contribution speaks about her indomitable spirit. She was not only active as an able organizer who constantly was on move to mobilize the community for the cause of 'Sindhyat' but had also contributed a sizeable body of literature connected with movement of 'Sindhyat' and her unflinching commitment to Sindhi community. What shall we consider legacy of Popati Hiranandani? Is not she still a contemporary? The value of literature can only be gauged by the time span it endures. It is common that dry leaves and grass float over the surface of the current whereas pearls are found down in deep. May be after a few generations some deep diver will come and bring out the pearls of Popati's writings on the surface. Their brilliance and splendor will itself proclaim its value!
