In this video, Sahib Bijani, the director of the Indian Institute of Sindhology, reads out his poem "Mataan sadayeen Sindhi" to us. The poem, also written by him, is a powerful voice and a message for all Sindhis today to not be ashamed of being identified as a Sindhi. In his deadpan delivery style, Sahib daada and his poem are a delight to watch / hear. I was invited to attend 'Hojamalo' -- a Sindhi cultural, inter-collegiate festival organised by the Sindhi Circle wing at Jai Hind college. I had such an overwhelming (in a good way) experience at the festival! The beauty of being immersed in all things Sindhi for one whole day, that too as a community, is truly something that I cannot put in words! I have tried to articulate my thoughts towards the end of the video, please come along enjoy the Hojamalo festival through this vlog and don't forget to share your feedback in the comments section below :) -- Bhavna Rajpal Find us on social media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sindhifilmfestival Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sindhifilmfestival Twitter: https://twitter.com/sindhicinema Write to us at: sindhifilmfestival@gmail.com Thank you for watching and subscribing. The literature that exists in Sindhi language is classified as Sindhi literature. But, what do we term the substantial amount of literature that exists in English language about all things Sindhi? Bhavna has been thinking of starting this series where she talks about one Sindhi-topic English-language book each month. This is going to be an exciting series: we are very excited for it, here at the SFF office!
