Dr. Satish Rohra speaking to Asha Chand about spreading Sindhyat. Dr. Rohra is a distinguished academician. Satish Rohra taught at various universities and Iinstitutions before retiring as Professor of Applied Linguistic from Central Institute of Hindi, Agra. He published more than 20 books and several articles in Sindhi, Hindi and Indian Culture. He also delivered lectures while visiting countries like U.S.A, U.K, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Japan, Thai Land, Philippines, Pakistan and others. He also received awards from Akhil Bharat Sindhi Boli Ain Sahitya Sabha, National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language and Sahitya Academy among others. The most important contribution of Dr. Rohra is the creation of Indian Institute of Sindhology with the help of few of his friends. It is a pioneering organisation for the development of Sindhi language, literature, art, education and culture. He is the founder director of the institute and remained its director for 12 long years. Presently he is the Founder of IIS.
